You’re right, it should be both? Since Mr Right and I are currently renting, I don’t want to spend too much money making a space of my own. But there are necessities that make your space functional starting with a sturdy chair.
I found this one at a discount store (last one). I like it because of the contemporary styling and handle on top. I only have room for one chair and this one easily moves around my work area. I bought some spray paint called Ocean, and made it my own. It’s practical & pretty.
Since the room doubles as a guest room, I also needed storage to hide away all my crafty necessities. You’ve probably seen my vintage luggage project, now completed its holding all manner of scrappy tools like my Big Shot and Spellbinders. While another vintage luggage set is hiding away all my sewing supplies.
If you’re like me and have never met a scrapbook element you didn’t like you really should get yourself a printers tray. Look at all the tidbits you can organize at your finger tips. I’ve had these toleware trays for years and find them really helpful to organize a current project on. I can lift it out-of-the-way when I’m not using it. If you have a cupboard full of mismatched vintage collectables, put them to work in your craft room. It’s pretty and practical.
Well Blossom, mommies almost done, time for a little break.
No matter how organized I try to be, sometimes my crafting table gets right “out-of-control’. That’s why my girly vintage french writing desk remains un-cluttered. I’ve reserved this space for some of my favorite things. What desk wouldn’t want a vintage aqua princess phone? This is a great spot for catching up on my favorite crafty magazines or taking a wee break. Pretty and Practical.
Delightful!

HA, That just a lovely, tasty co-incidence 😉
Sometimes if we’re out and they don’t serve Sapphire, I can always tell. It’s a little more, but so worth it and that’s just how I roll…….HA.

We all have to roll somehow (especially after gin). I can always tell the good from the bad in terms of vodka, gin and scotch!

Love the aqua chair and princess telephone… haven’t see one of those in ages. I think my grandmother ( who was known for her impeccable style) had the same model. Great find!

Hi Kerri, thank’s so much. If it’s Aqua and vintage and useful, well now, that’s the ‘perfect storm’ and I will bring it home. I’m finding the chair was the perfect choice since I’m always moving it around, that keyhole cute out is handy.

It’s an on-going project, I never leave things the same for too long, but it’s getting there. Glad you love it too, many thanks for all your visits.

Just because you are renting doesn’t mean it can’t be your own. I rented for years and made sure it felt like my home. I even took the time and care to make an ever expanding patio garden. When I finally did move on many people in the neighborhood were sad to see my garden leave as well. Rent on!

We’re only month to month while we look for a house, but in this market (expensive here), it might be a while. You’re right about making it your own, our Landlord who is also a good friend laughed and said the 10 years he lived here, it never looked so homey.
