I’ve been stumbling across a bunch of ‘blogs with dogs’ as of lately. OK, I lie, maybe I’ve been looking for them. I’ve been really missing our Buddy. We adopted Buddy at age 7 and had him for 7 years. Totally lovable and mostly well behaved, he was a big part of my day.
We lived in the country so walking off leash was the norm that city dogs don’t get to indulge in. Buddy loved running up ahead, through the forest, sniffing what seemed like every blade of grass like a great detective. He also loved to run into the lake and get wet and stinky. I wasn’t too fond of that smell then, but guess what? Yep, I miss it.
With the weather getting nicer, people and their pets are starting to get out a lot more. We live next to a park so I can easily get a doggy fix by simply walking out the back gate. I’ll be that nutty lady who try’s to make eye contact with your dog to say “hey, you’re cute” followed by a plea “Hi, can I pet your dog”?
“Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless
he’s owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest
affection with a flick of his tail than a man can
gather through a lifetime of handshakes.”
Gene Hill – The Dog Man
What a beautiful photo of the two of you together. So sweet. We lost our Fluffy cat last fall. We adopted her right before we got married and had her for 17 years. When I see her photo pop up, my heart skips a beat. You never forget them.

You miss all the dogs you’ve been friends with, don’t you! He looks like a lovely dog – I’d definitely stop you in the park and ask to pet him!

I admit, missing them is a small price to pay for unconditional love. Thanks so much for visiting Boomdeeadda. He was Mr Sociable, so he’d love that you’d stop to pet him.
