Cruising Down Memory Lane

I’ve been busy collecting and repairing some old family photo’s.  Someday I’d like to make a wall gallery in our ‘yet to own’ new home.  I’m always amused at how many photo’s were taken with a car in the picture.  I wonder if  they were the proud owners of a new car or just on a hot date.

Since there’s rarely anything written on the back of the photo, it’s great to see the year on a license plate.  It helps to know when the photo was taken (note to self, start writing on the back of your photos). It’s like a built-in date stamp!

My sweet  friend Lil,  tells me how my dad would give her a ride to school and she thought he was so cute, I think she’s right about that. It  does seem to me that people lived with more style back then even though they had less money. What do you think?

Maybe people just felt really special if they had a swell car to travel to town in, after all, their parents probably had to go with the buggy and team not too many years before. Where ever they were going, it’s always fun to hitch a ride and cruise along down memory lane.

    1. Can’t imagine laundry & pressing all the lovely outfits with no power or running water, but they still managed to look brilliant…always enjoy your thoughts, thanks again.

Talk nerdy to me………..
