How do you make the purrrrfect Diva Pillow?

It as easy as 1, 2, 3 & Meow!

1) Gather your tools (look I found aqua pins!).

2) Sew up, down and all around.

3) Pick Out the prettiest buttons.

& Meow!

Oh O Blossum, you’re making a pretty good dent in you new pillow!!

Little Petals, you’re sinking out of site!

  1. I love the pictures of the process and LOVE the buttons. I have quite a few myself but yours are perfectly you! My Schatzie never slept on a dog bed unless we were on a road trip. I wish I had made such a pretty cover for her Down pillow. You did such a nice job. The ruffles add a nice touch. Thanks for the link. Hugs, MH

    • You know, I bought that big bag of buttons at a scrapbook store maybe 8 years ago and I just can’t seem to use them enough. It’s the never ending button bag, LOL.

Thanks for your compliment. I hadn’t sewed anything for some time but really enjoyed it. The kitties practically live on that thing and I often climb aboard for snuggle time and it is really comfortable πŸ˜€

  2. Kudos on making something for your cats that your cats actually use! Mine is currently sleeping on top of a plastic box, although he has a cat bed immediately to his right.

    • πŸ˜€ That’s too funny, cat’s certainly have a routine don’t they? This is the first time I’ve had two cats at once (Birthday gift from brother, they came as a set), and I must say they are both unique personalities for sure. Your cat sounds low maintenance though, that might be a plus! PS I love the name ‘Taco’…fun!

  3. I love the buttons! I’m a button nut so I get pretty excited when I seem them used in a project. I think I’m in love with Petals. That sweet, sweet face. You’ve outdone your self. Very nice.

    • Did you see this fab idea on pinterest?

      I think it’s very romantic.
I’ll tell Petals she has an admirer….she’ll probably just run off in some direction like crazy. HA, she’s a bit of a spaz…but we love her too. Thanks for all your fabulous support!

      • Welcome πŸ™‚ I think a sweet vintage hankie might be a cute pillow cover, I’m going to look next time I’m at the Antique Mall.

      • I’ve seen beautiful hankies turned into pillow covers. Year ago a friend brought me a large hankie from Japan with a cat on it. I turned that into a pillow at the time but that was over thirty years ago. Just thought about it now.

  4. Excllent job – I think I’ll have to come back in my next life as a cat and maybe u can adopt me – LUL

    • I think Blossum could sleep on the top of a moving train, HA, but mostly she loves to be by me (awww) and it certainly brightens up my craft/sewing room. The Diva’s seem to give it a thumbs up. Do cats have thumbs? Cheers πŸ™‚

    • This is the bottomless bag of buttons for sure. I bought them as a scrapbooking product 5 years ago. I believe they were ‘Foof Fa La’ (yep that’s the real company). I’ve used them on Scrap pages, sewing projects, Christmas Gift Tops. What a good value. Thanks so much for coming by Boomdeeadda

Talk nerdy to me………..
