I’m not a big boozer or anything (regardless of what you’ve heard), but I do like a wee vino with a good meal. Did you know there’s evidence that a glass of red wine each day can be beneficial? To wit, we’re always on the lookout for a new favorite. We are partial to the California Merlot’s, but by the time they reach the shelf in Canada they can cost a pretty penny. That’s why I’m so excited about ‘Mad Housewife Merlot’.
I just wish you could meet my good friend Karen, she has an amazing laugh that is legendary, which of course makes me laugh even harder. With a great sense of humor, she’s always full of fun surprises. Oh yes, and we have shared more than a few bottles of wine. When we celebrated our birthdays together this year, she gave me this bottle of Mad Housewife.
Kudos’ to the winemaking team at Mad Housewife Cellars. They’ve not only bottled a fine product they’ve really hit a nerve with us ‘stay-at-home’ gals. Finally, someone’s marketing to the forgotten demographic. At Mad Housewife they think “Wine should never intimidate, make you think too hard or create a new line item in your budget”. Bravo, I agree!! It’s not only sensible, it’s affordable, it’s healthy and most importantly, like my good friend Karen, it made me laugh….Cheer’s to that!!
“past the litterbox…” I can so relate. We’ll have to add wine tasting to your California excursion.

Oh look Alys, it’s a short drive, have you been to Sonoma?

Oh yes! I love Sonoma. Calistoga, Mt. St. Helena, and Santa Rosa are nice communities too. I worked for a theater group in Santa Rosa for three summers in my early twenties. My in-laws used to live in Calistoga and I have a friend living and working in Sonoma (Sonoma State).
Maybe you should get an apartment here for six months so we can cover the bases. Bring the kitties. 🙂
Or…we can save up for a Leer Jet and you can fly in on the weekends for excursions. What’s a few millions of dollars among friends?

hehe, I am the worst ‘flyer’. I do it reluctantly because I love to go places and Jim’s got a schedule. If only I could Vespa all the way…see the sights, take the scenic route. I’ll keep buying lotto tix. I love the apartment idea…We are meeting a builder on Wed, he owns a lot we like close to downtown, may be throwing caution to the wind, Just want to be settled. Apartments in Fab places remain a dream, just out of reach! You’d be a swell neighbour though!

I’m practicing moderation, but always do, LOL. They have one cork that says “Dinner Is Poured”, I think that’s happened with Karen too. She’s a riot! Thank’s for visiting today Aunty!
