Irish Eyes Are Smiling

Happy St. Patrick’s Day !

Alysters Lucky Day

When Irish eyes are smiling,

sure ’tis like a morn in spring.

In the lilt of Irish laughter

you can hear the angels sing.

When Irish hearts are happy,

all the world seems bright and gay,

And when Irish eyes are smiling,

sure they’ll steal your heart away.

Lyrics Chauncey Olcott & George Graff Jr

    • CHEERS, Sherly. Never to late, there are probably some stragglers passed out under tables somewhere in Ireland at this very moment! Thank you for your Paddy Day Wishes and Alyster (that’s his name now), tips his jolly red hat to you 😀 Hope your day was grande!

    • Thanks a bunch (of shamrocks) PJ, I think she’s from nearby, with the same red cap. She’s my kind of girl, seems to enjoy the ‘spirits of the grape’. hehe. Happy St Patricks Day.

    • Thank’s for the St Patrick cheer Marlene, I wore a green scarf today just in case, HA. I didn’t see too much activity out there when I went for groceries, guess everyone was in the bar?

    • Happy St. Patricks Day to you to. When Olcott and Graff wrote that song, they had no idea how many pints would swing and sing along a century later. It was written for a play in 1912.

    • Thanks Valerie! Are you all going to wear green today? Little green scarves for Bella and Nikita? Have a beautiful day. It’s very very white here and snowing. Same tomorrow and next day…..urg! I might just need a green beer, LOL

Talk nerdy to me………..
